I've realized all my posts thus far have been about books. As this site isn't specifically about books, I thought it wise to make a more informal and personal? post, especially as we near the middle of the year.

So, it's nearly June! June marks the start of summer (which frankly I hate but I'm still excited for) and is my birth month! I've especially been looking forward to June this year since I'll be taking a short trip to Europe. I believe I'll be on Oslo on my birthday, which makes me feel very fancy and richer than we actually are. I was considering making a birthday post, but I probably won't have the time, so it'll either come a little later or a little earlier than the 24th. I'm a little nervous, mostly because of everything going on in the States regarding international travel and immigration. I doubt I'll run into any trouble coming back into the country, but I've heard stories from people who left or came in for vacation that have made me a little paranoid. I'll be fine most likely but I'll still exercise caution.

I do plan to improve this site once I get back! I started working on this in December and have since been a little busy, so hopefully with summer comes an abundance of free time. This year has been passing very quick, it's a little startling to know it's nearly been half a year. I feel the first order of business would be to make the site responsive, which will require reworking a decent amount of the layout. It's not ideal but whatever. I need to continue the caligari shrine and start the isamu nitta one... my progress has been very slow lately. Hopefully I can get a decent amnt done now that I have free time.
